The Hoyt Library, 247 Wyoming Ave., Kingston, will feature Dr. Jennie Congleton, Ph.D., internationally-known speaker, as she presents cultural history reading programs for the libraries summer reading.

She has served as professor of cultural history and chairperson of the Fine Arts Department at Misericordia University and published with Oxford University Press, The Diversity Institute and the International Journal of the Humanities.

Her summer reading program, Exercise Your Mind, Read! will be presented from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursdays starting with Ancient Cultures of the Middle East: Forget the Greeks! Continuing June 30 with Most Notorious Pirates: Money, Power and God in the Caribbean; July 14, The Great Treasure Hunt: Salvaging Ships in the Caribbean; July 21, Museum of the Missing: History’s Most Infamous Art Thefts; July 28, Secrets, Smiles and the Sun King: An Insider’s View of Normandy and Paris and Aug. 4, Bordeaux, Pearl of the Acquitaine: How To Become a Wine Snob in One Easy Lesson.
