KINGSTON — The Hoyt Library, 284 Wyoming Ave., is holding open registration for its summer reading program beginning June 12, with all activities beginning June 19, through Aug. 10. There will be programs, crafts, games, movies, and fun art contests.

In addition, children who join the summer reading club can register for a free presentation of Pirates: Lost at Sea!, by ScienceTellers to be shown 10:30 a.m. June 29, at the Jewish Community Center, sponsored by funds provided by the Yudichak Family Fund of the Luzerne Foundation.

Register in person for any of the following free programs:

SRC storytime, 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Tuesdays, for ages 2-5, but not in kindergarten.

SRC LEGO Club, 5 to 6 p.m., Mondays, for ages 7-18.

SRC Jr. LEGO Club, 5 to 6 p.m., Mondays, ages 2-5.

SRC science program, 6 to 7 p.m., Mondays, ages 7-15. Ask about becoming a part of the solar eclipse Aug. 21, through NASA.

SRC Pre-School MESS ‘Build a Better World’ program, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., Fridays, ages 3-5, but not in kindergarten.

SRC Art Express, Jurassic Art, 3 to 4:30 p.m., Wednesdays, ages 7-15.

A SRC adult reading discussion book program, July 27 meeting, register and check-out a copy on your library card for the Discussion’s book choice, The Good Widow, by Liz Fenton and Lisa Steinke, while supplies last; along with the book’s discussion questions. Purchase your own copy at any bookstore. Space is limited, register early.

Adult Coloring, 3 to 4:30 p.m., Wednesdays, adults will enjoy a relaxing afternoon of coloring and conversation. Materials are provided, but participants are welcome to bring their own.
