WILKES-BARRE: St. Stephens Pro-Cathedral will hold a Family Fun Fest after 10:30 a.m. service Sept. 10 in celebration of the 200th anniversary of its church school at 35 S. Franklin St., Wilkes-Barre. Events themed “Living in the Early 19th Century” include writing with a quill pen and the science and art of plant-based dyes. The festival will also feature a YogaVoice workshop.
WILKES-BARRE: Unity of NEPA is joining with Silent Unity and other Unity Spiritual Centers around the world in celebrating the 2017 Unity World Day of Prayer on Sept. 14, with the theme “Peace in the Midst.” The celebration begins the previous evening, at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 13, with a Unity Community Service led by the Rev. Diane Sickler. At noon Sept. 14 the church will live stream the “Silent Unity Prayer Service” for all who wish to come to Unity of NEPA and experience this event.
