The Rotary Club of Wyoming recently awarded three Paul Harris Fellowships at the Club’s annual Christmas Party at the Westmoreland Club. The Paul Harris Fellow program recognizes individuals who contribute, or who have contributions made in their name, of $1,000 to The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International. The honor was established in 1957 to show appreciation for contributions that support the Annual Fund, PolioPlus, or an approved Foundation Grant. Rotary started with the vision of one man, Paul Harris, a Chicago attorney who formed the Rotary Club of Chicago on Feb. 23 1905, so professionals with diverse backgrounds could exchange ideas, form meaningful, lifelong friendships, and give back to their communities. Shown are Rich Sobeck, club president, Brian Zaborny, member, Dr. Darrell Evans, award recipient, Wendy Carey, award recipient, John Harrington, member, Bob Sobeck, award recipient and Jerry Cegelka, program chairman.
