LUZERNE COUNTY — The Apprise Program, sponsored by the Area Agency on Aging, is seeking volunteers to train in assisting area elders.
Volunteer counselors participate in an extensive training program and can assist with presentations at various organizations and health fairs and a variety of other tasks.

LUZERNE/WYOMING COUNTIES — Volunteer Senior Peer Counselors are available to provide one-to-one support and socialization in the homes of those 60 years of age and older experiencing loneliness or minor emotional issues.
Volunteers, 55 and older, who drive and can devote up to three hours a week are needed to visit older adults with mild emotional issues in Luzerne and Wyoming counties.

MOUNTAIN TOP — Mountain Top Social Club will meet at 1 p.m. on Feb. 13 and 27 and every second and fourth Tuesday of each month at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Route 309, Mountain Top. Trips to the Hollywood Casino will start on March 22 and will continue every fourth Thursday of each month through November. The cost is $25 per person.
