West Wyoming American Legion Morning Star Post 904 will hold its monthly meeting at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 8 at Angelo’s in the Midway Shopping Center. All members are invited to attend for dinner and the meeting.

Corvette Club of NEPA will hold a general meeting at 7 p.m. Feb. 8 at Marzoni’s, 26 Montage Mountain Road, Moosic. Interested Corvette owners are welcome.

Dupont V.F.W. Post 4909: The Home Association will hold its annual Valentine’s Day Dinner-Dance from 7:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. Feb. 10 at the post home. A dinner buffet will be served from 7:30 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. Music will be provided by Millennium from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. The bar will be open from 7:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Door prizes will be awarded. The post’s annual St. Patrick’s Day Dinner-Dance will be held on March 17. St. Mary’s Dinner Club will have one seating at 6 p.m. Feb. 8 at St. Mary’s Center, 320 Miflin Ave., Scranton. The dinner costs $20, and the menu includes Caesar salad, tortellini soup, pork saltimbocca, farfalle with peas in a light cream sauce, red velvet cake, coffee, tea, water and soda. Daddow-Isaacs Dallas American Legion Post 672 will hold their annual Pig Roast from 5 to 8 p.m. Feb. 10 at the post home. The menu will feature pork, sauerkraut, potatoes, gravy, drinks and dessert. Take-out will be available. A donation of $9 for adults and $6 for children under 12 will be appreciated. Money raised will support the many activities the post contributes to.

Knights of Columbus, Council 12089, will meet at 7 p.m. Feb. 13 at St. Leo’s Church hall in Ashley. All members are welcome.

South Wilkes-Barre Residents’ Association will hold its next meeting at 7 p.m. Feb. 13 in the community room of the Firwood United Methodist Church located at the corner of Old River Road and Dagobert Street in South Wilkes-Barre. Guest speakers will be representatives of Geisinger Hospital who will be announcing plans to expand services to the Geisinger South facility located on Hanover Street in South Wilkes-Barre. The meeting is not limited to the residents of South Wilkes-Barre. Everyone is invited to attend. The Firwood United Methodist Church community room is handicapped accessible.

Order of Alhambra, Alhamar Caravan No. 4, will meet at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 14 at St. Conrads Young Men’s Society, 217 S. Washington St., Wilkes-Barre. All members are welcome.

Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Chapter 102 will meet at 7 p.m. Feb. 15 at the Kingston V.F.W. All members are welcome.

Italian American Association of Luzerne County will hold its annual Mardi Gras celebration at 6 p.m. Feb. 16 at the Dupont V.F.W. Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. An array of homemade desserts will be available. $24 with a cash bar. Kingston Historical Society will hold its regular monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Feb. 22 at the Kingston Municipal Building. Tom Mooney will give a presentation on genealogy. New members and guests are welcome.

Avoca West Side Social Club will hold its inaugural Saint Patrick’s Day celebration beginning at 1 p.m. March 17. Event begins with a blessin gat Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Avoca followed by a march to the Avoca West Side Social Club, 711 McAlpine St., A ham and cabbage dinner will be served, and there will be live entertainment. A donation of $20 per person is requested and can be made at the door. Celebration lasts until 6 p.m. Michael George will receive Man of the Year honors.

Friends of the Back Mountain Memorial Library, have set April 19 as the date for their annual Luncheon with a Special Author. The event will take place at the Appletree Terrace, Newberry Estates, Dallas. Tickets will go on sale in March at the library on Huntsville Road in Dallas. More details will be announced as they become available.
