The Polish Women’s Alliance of America, Councils 40 and 44, and the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association from Luzerne and Lackawanna Counties will hold the 42nd Bal Polonaise at 6 p.m. April 21 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish Center. Following a cocktail hour, seven young ladies will be presented as debutantes, and will dance the traditional Polonaise accompanied by their escorts. Dinner will follow. The choreographer is Bernardine Vojtko and Dr. Christina Lopez, MD will be the Emcee for the event. Also serving on the committee are Bernardine Regis, Helen Lopez, Bernardine Borinski, Joanne Jones, Jean Scupski, and Felicia Perlick.
