Lackawanna County Judge Julia K. Munley spoke of social workers as leaders, advocates and champions at the annual Hospice of the Sacred Heart Social Work Breakfast March 16. Speaking before a group of social workers and community leaders, Judge Munley spoke of her admiration for her sister, Gwen, who has dedicated her professional life to social work. ” Don’t ever apologize for being a social worker,” said Judge Munley. She also spoke of her pride of being a graduate of Marywood University, then Marywood College, and the rich tradition and reputation of Marywood’s School of Social Work.
