‘Seniors Got Talent’ event benefits neighborhood centers

-

United Neighborhood Centers of Northeastern Pennsylvania (UNC) recently hosted the sixth annual Seniors Got Talent event at the Theatre at North, formerly North Scranton Junior High School. The special event, which has grown to include an audience of hundreds, raises funds for the agency’s four active older adult community centers in Lackawanna County. During the show, acts performed by individuals 55 and older were scored by a panel of celebrity guest judges and awarded cash prizes. Shown are winners, from left: Charles Weber of Scranton, third place; Jean Spindler, Carolyn Tavella, and Sarah Derhammer, all of Kingston, who formed a Western trio, second place; and Joseph Serafin of Wilkes-Barre, first place and Audience Choice award winner.
