Hunlock Creek vocalist to perform at Bloomsburg recital


Vocalist Kelley Zimmerman, of Hunlock Creek, is one of seven winners in the junior division of Bloomsburg University’s Young Classical Artists Competition. She will sing Giordano’s Italian Art Song, “Caro mio ben” during a winners recital, set for 3 p.m. May 5 in the historic Gross Auditorium at Bloomsburg University. The recital, for seventh- and eighth-grade students, will be preceded by the senior division recital at 1 p.m. Both recitals are free to the public. Ms. Zimmerman is the daughter of Anne Marie and Greg Zimmerman, of Hunlock Creek. An eighth-grade student at Lake-Lehman Junior/Senior High School, she takes vocal lessons from Amanda Sullick at Rising Stars Performing Arts Academy, Wilkes-Barre.
