WB General School of Nursing class of 1968 celebrates graduation anniversary

The 50th reunion celebration of the Class of 1968 of Wilkes Barre General Hospital School of Nursing was recently held at the spring luncheon of the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital Alumni Organization. Graduates who attended the event at the Irem Temple Country Club received corsages from their fellow alumni. The Class of 1968 was the first nursing class in school history and in Wyoming Valley to admit and graduate male nursing students and the first class to have a State Board of Nursing pass rate of 100 percent, which continued until the school closed in 1974. The next scheduled meeting of the Alumni Association will be the December Holiday Party at the Westmoreland Club.
