Arbor Day Foundation honors Kingston for commitment to trees

For 22 years, Kingston has been designated a Tree City USA because it has a tree commission, municipal ordinance protecting its street trees, spends $2 per capita on trees, and celebrates Arbor Day each year. Kingston is one of only three communities in Luzerne County and 111 in Pennsylvania that receives this honor each year.
