The Women’s Ministry organization of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Hudson recently honored longtime member Muriel Siegel with a surprise 99th birthday celebration. Muriel devotedly served her church in many capacities over the years including: treasurer, board member, adult Sabbath School superintendent and Children’s Division leader. She is most fondly remembered for the many years of service in the Children’s Division with her creative and interesting ways she taught children about the Bible. She used songs, memory verses, prayer, Bible stories and visual illustrations with hands-on participation by the children. Many adult church members relate that Muriel’s positive influence on them in Sabbath School will never be forgotten. At her birthday celebration, Muriel was presented with cards, gifts and flowers. A vegetarian luncheon followed with cake and ice cream.
