Catholic Social Services honors staff, volunteers

Catholic Social Services of Wyoming Valley recently honored Ron Evans and Vince and Alison Splendido for their years of service to the agency with a reception at Vito’s Wine Cellar in Pittston. Ron Evans, who recently retired as executive director of Catholic Social Services of Wyoming Valley, was honored for his 36 years with the agency. Vince Splendido was honored for his longtime service to both the Big Brothers Big Sisters of The Bridge and Catholic Social Services advisory boards. He now serves on the governing board of Catholic Social Services of the Diocese of Scranton. Alison Splendido was honored for her volunteerism at the St. Vincent De Paul Kitchen and for her work with the annual “Rhythm & Wine” fundraiser, which has raised more than $70,000 for Catholic Social Services veterans programs.
