The Northwest Ranger Marching Band from Northwest Area High School in Shickshinny recently traveled to Baltimore for their spring trip. The band had the opportunity to perform the Star Spangled Banner on the parade ground at Fort McHenry, the birthplace of our national anthem. The Rangers also performed for the crowd at the Baltimore Inner Harbor Amphitheater. Among the Rangers’ other stops were the USS Constellation, the National Aquarium, and a stop at Meyerhoff Symphony Hall to see a screening of ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark,’ as the Baltimore Symphony played the film score live.
