FALLS — The Falls Active Adult Center, state Route 92, Exeter Township: June 28: 12:25 p.m., Blood pressures will be taken by a nurse from The Meadows followed by bingo lead by Melissa from The Meadows.

LUZERNE/WYOMING COUNTIES — Seniors 55 years or older are needed to visit homebound senior adults 60 years and older in their homes once a week. Senior Peer Counseling Program (SPCP) of Community Counseling Services provides training for volunteers in Luzerne and Wyoming Counties to visit seniors for conversation and supportive socialization. After completing the screening and training in basic counseling and listening skills, Senior Peer Counselors are paired with clients. Clients as well as volunteers are welcome to contact Rhoda Tillman at [email protected] or 570-552-6107. This program is affiliated with the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP). There is no charge to participate. The next volunteer training begins in July.

MOUNTAIN TOP — Mountain Top Social Club will meet at 1 p.m. on June 26 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church on Route 309 in Mountain Top for its ice cream social. The July 10 trip will be the club’s auction. The July 19 trip has been canceled because not enough people signed up. Trips to the Hollywood Casino will continue every fourth Thursday of each month through November. The cost is $25 per person. The price includes a $30 rebate to play and a $5 buffet voucher or 25 percent off a casual dinner. Payment is requested by the beginning of each month. Bus leaves at 8:30 a.m. for an 11 a.m. arrival at theater. Lunch is scheduled for 11:30 a.m with showtime at 1 p.m. and departure at 4:30 p.m. Reservations must be made by June 22. No refunds after July 13. Seats assigned at time of payment; Sept. 12, Hollywood Casino, $28; Oct. 18, Hollywood Casino, $28; Nov. 21: Dutch Apple Theatre A Christmas Carol, $92. Trips to casinos include meal and slot play. Trips to productions include meal and show.

PLYMOUTH — The Senior Citizens’ Friendship Club of St. Mary’s will meet at 1 p.m. June 25 in the Holy Child School building on Willow Street in Plymouth. Servers will be Beverly Lutz, Diane Laibinis, Mary Larko and Joann Laskoski. The club will host a day trip to the Rainbow Comedy Playhouse in Lancaster on July 11. The show is “Getting Mama Married.” The price of $65 includes the show, dinner, transportation, all gratuities, and a stop after the show. Call (570) 779-3203 for reservations. WILKES-BARRE — The St. Robert Bellarmine Seniors will meet on Sept. 12. Servers will be Regina Corba, Ann Marie Dennis and Marie Kumiega. The club will host a trip to Silver Birches for the Autumn Festival on Oct. 18. Hollywood Casino trips are scheduled for the fourth Thursday of each month. The bus will leave from St. Al’s at 7:45 a.m. Anyone interested in the trips should call Otto Eime at 570-407-0056.

WILKESL-BARRE — All public school retirees are invited to attend the Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees 80th Anniversary Picnic and celebration beginning at noon on June 28 at Kirby Park (Pavilion 3) in Wilkes-Barre. Hamburgers, hot dogs and drinks will be provided. Activities will include bingo, beanbags, and a birthday card decorating contest. Attendees are also invited to bring cards or board games. The organization is also asking attendees to bring a dish to pass. There will be a minimal charge of $5 to help pay for the pavilion rental. Checks are to be made out to LUZ/WYO PASR. WHITE HAVEN — The White Haven Area Senior Citizens, will hold their annual Mother/Father dinner at 4 p.m. June 26 and their Picnic at 4 p.m. Aug. 24. Both events will take place at the L&L Fire Hall. The Mother/Father dinner menu features cream of potato soup, turkey with stuffing, pork with mandarin organ, candied sweet potatoes (without walnuts), coleslaw, honey-glazed carrots, dessert, rolls with butter and beverages. Entertainment will be provided by George Rittenhouse. The Menu for the Picnic features tossed salad, chicken marsala, piggies in a blanket, scalloped potatoes, coleslaw, Italian marinated vegetable salad, dessert and beverages.
