St. John the Evangelist Parish in Pittston recently offered a class on “Cooking for Crowds.” The objectives of the class were to provide reasons why food safety is important; show practical ways to purchase, prepare, and serve foods safely; and the sharing of the program’s information to others. Nicole McGeehan, associate educator on food safety, quality and health from Penn State Extension presented the class.
