Piano students honored at recital


The piano students of Michele Millington were presented in recital recently at the Christ United Methodist Church in Mountain Top. Shown are, first row: Kai Hong, Joseph Lettieri, Rowan Dietrich, Madalyn Young, Spencer Obmann, Neal DeAngelo, Grace Obmann, Jack Obmann, and Ethan Zhao. Second row: Leah Dietrich, Jennalyn Stuart, Christopher Bowman, Molly Grove, Avari DeAngelo, Sean Venturi, Tyler Cleveland, Nathan Thomas. Third row: Anthony Lettieri, Catherine Ziegler, Ben Zhao, James Lanning, Katie Thomas, Summer McMichael, and Ms. Millington. Award certificates and pins were presented to students who participated in the National Piano Playing Auditions. Also awarded to Caleb Sweitzer was the Padrewski Gold Medal, issued by the American College of Musicians for earning a national certificate for 10 years. Jennalyn Stuart was awarded the High School Diploma in Social Music from the American College of Musicians; she also received a second-place award in the Pennsylvania Music Teachers Association’s Keystone Composition Competition. Trophies were awarded to those students who performed at Carnegie Hall in April: Zachary Brandreth, Dina Clark, Leah Dietrich, and James Lanning. The award for the outstanding pianist of the year was presented to Leah Dietrich.
