Scout’s birdhouse design inspired by church

Local scout Gregori Zurek recently fulfilled the requirements for his bear badge and advancement into the Webelos, by building and donating a bird feeder to the Prince of Peace Episcopal Church in Dallas. Gregori’s plan for the feeder was inspired by the look of his church, from the shape of the windows to the red front doors. It took Gregori and his dad, Edward, about six hours to build and paint the feeder, which has been blessed and placed in the church’s memorial garden area. Shown are Gregori with the Rev. Joseph P. Rafferty, rector.
