The Catholic War Veterans Post 1601 of Swoyersville and John Shemo, of Swoyersville, recently honored two members of the Wyoming Valley West High School class of 2018. The post and Shemo proudly presented each student with $300 for their academic achievements. Shown are John Romanchick, vice commander; award recipients Mitchell John Forgash, who will attend King’s College, and Allie Marie Shulskie, who will attend Wilkes University, and Shemo. Forgash is secretary of the class of 2018, and Shulskie was student council president. They are both National Honor Society members.
