The Forty Fort Lions Club recently presented its annual James J. McCullough Award, which is named in honor of former Forty Fort Mayor James J. McCullough. The award has been in existence for 42 years, with a $1,000 scholarship being awarded to an outstanding area high school student. This year, due to the generosity of the community during the Lions Club Five Mile Race, held on Memorial Day, the club was able to increase the award to $2,000. The award was presented to Wyoming Seminary graduate Julia Gabriel, who plans to study psychology at Lebanon Valley College. Shown are Chairman Matt Kelly, Chairman Jerry Novak, Dr. Theresa Baseski, award recipient Julia Gabriel, Francine Gabriel and Chairman Thomas O’Connor.
