Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Thomas III, Dallas, Pennsylvania, announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Shannon Marie, to Christopher Joseph Collette, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Collette Jr., Macungie, Pennsylvania.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Robert Asby, Larksville, Pennsylvania, and the late Marguerite Siegel Asby, and Joyce and James Sabol, Lehman, Pennsylvania.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Juliana Collette, Macungie, Pennsylvania, and the late Joseph Collette Sr., and Ted and Delores Rupley, Lansdale, Pennsylvania.
The bride-to-be is a 2004 graduate of Dallas High School, Dallas, Pennsylvania. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from the University of Pittsburgh in 2008. She is also a 2010 graduate of Luzerne County Community College, where she earned an associate’s degree in applied science in nursing. She is employed at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, as a neurosurgical operating room registered nurse.
The prospective groom is a 2004 graduate of Emmaus High School, Emmaus, Pennsylvania. He earned his nursing diploma from St. Luke’s School of Nursing, Allentown, Pennsylvania, in 2012. He is employed as a registered nurse at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, in the Trauma Unit.
The couple will exchange vows Oct. 10, 2015, at an outdoor ceremony at The Island House, Johns Island, South Carolina. A cocktail hour and reception will follow.
