Jessica Ann Piatt and Andrew Mark Ponti, together with their families, announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Paul and Michele Piatt, Sweet Valley. She is the granddaughter of Irene Stasko, Hunlock Creek, and the late Raymond Stasko, and the late Edwin and Lillian Piatt.

Jessica is a 2006 graduate of Northwest Area High School and a 2010 graduate of the University of Scranton, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in counseling and human services. She also graduated from the University of Scranton in 2012 with a master’s degree in school counseling. She works as a school counselor at Calvert High School in Prince Frederick, Maryland.

The prospective groom is the son of Karen Ponti, New Cumberland and Frank Ponti, New Cumberland. He is the grandson of Don and Sue Easton, Camp Hill, and Joe and Mary Ponti, Steelton.

Andrew is a 2006 graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School, Harrisburg, and a 2010 graduate of the University of Scranton, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in history and communications. He works as tourism coordinator for St. Mary’s County Government in Leonardtown, Maryland.

Jessica and Andrew live in Leonardtown, Maryland, with their two cats, Giuseppie and Jade.

The couple will exchange vows in April, 2017, at St. Edmond’s Catholic Church, in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, with a reception to follow.
