Catholic Schools Week was in full swing this year as pirates a’plenty roamed the hallways of Saint Jude School. This year’s theme, “Saint Jude School, Where Treasures Abound” saw teacher-built pirate ships in the hallways and colorful class t-shirts creating a sea of color to thank the school volunteers at the weekly school Mass.

Each day centered around the things the school community treasures most: students, community, volunteers, talents, and faculty. Students took part in pirate game in Gym class and went on treasure-themed scavenger hunts around the school.

The younger children dressed as pirates and mermaids, while the older students took part in crazy hair/crazy hat day. One of the week’s highlights was the school Penny Wars event, with classes working hard to sabotage one another with silver coins and bring their class to victory while other classes walked the plank. Faculty, staff and students enjoyed the fun festivities and “Arrgh” so grateful for their school!
