Times Leader Page Designer Ashley Bringmann, standing center, recently had the thrill of designing the flavor combination for a Chocolate Orange Latte at Abide Coffeehouse in downtown Wilkes-Barre.

Her drink has been on the menu at the cozy coffeehouse for the past few weeks, along with the following drinks, each designed by another customer: Power PB (Peanut Butter) Latte, English Cottage Latte (notes of lavender), Nutella Latte and Blue Peony Tea Latte.

Most of the above drinks contain espresso, but as an Abide barista explained, the flavor combinations can be used with chai or tea or other drinks that contain less caffeine. They also can be served hot or iced — and customers can expect the specials to soon change to the spring menu.

Speaking of baristas, Bringmann had the fun of being invited behind the counter at Abide so she could make a Chocolate Orange Latte for herself.
