The Order of Alhambra, local caravan Alhamar #4 recently hosted “Peace in the Womb” Pro-Life Christmas Caroling on the sidewalk in front of Planned Parenthood, 101 N. Main St. Wilkes-Barre.

Pro-Life Action League organized the event nationally.

Ernie Pappa with Ernie Pappa Music Ministry led the caroling event. Ada Magni, Supreme Director Region 2 invited all carolers to hot chocolate and treats afterwards.

The Order of Alhambra was founded in 1904 and is open to Catholic men and women 18 and older who have good standing in a local Catholic parish. Named after the Alhambra, a Moorish palace in Granada, Spain. The emblem of the Order is the red tower of Castile surmounting the yellow crescent andwhite cross superimposed on the tower.

The order is a social organization dedicated to assisting and enhancing the lives of people with developmental disabilities as well as commemorating Catholic historical places, events and persons. It provides activities and support for special needs children and adults.
