Lenten food sales at St. Leo’s Church Hall, 33 Manhattan St., Ashley. A 40-year tradition continues with the Holy Name Society selling halusky, pierogi, Manhattan clam chowder, mushroom soup, tuna hoagies, potato pancakes and weekly specials 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Fridays in Lent, through March 27.

Bear Creek Township Volunteer Hose Company Fish and Shrimp Fry, 5 to 7 p.m. on each Friday of Lent, through April 3, at the Bear Creek Township Volunteer Hose House, 3500 Bear Creek Boulevard, Bear Creek Twp. Cost is $12 and includes a choice of fish, shrimp, or both, along with a generous portion of fries. Dessert will be available at an additional cost.

Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, 401 E. Main St., Miners Mills, will hold the last Lenten potato pancake sale on March 27 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. We will also feature a pierogi casserole. Preorders are not necessary. Come early before we run out.
