The Christian Women of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Parish, 40 Park Ave., Wilkes-Barre, celebrated Mother’s Day with a luncheon at R & D Catering, Fellows Avenue, Hanover Township.
The Rev. Mark DeCelles, sacramental minister of the parish, offered the invocation and the luncheon was followed by a social hour with game and entertainment by Evelyn Evans.
Deacon William Behm offered the grace after the meal.
The next meeting for the group will be 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26 at the parish rectory. All women of the parish are invited.
