The Forty Fort Lions Club recently applied for and received a $4,500 grant from the Northeast Pennsylvania Lions Service Foundation (NEPALSF) to assist the St. Vincent de Paul Kitchen in Wilkes-Barre.
The St. Vincent de Paul Kitchen provides daily meals, clothing and emergency aid to anyone in need, no questions asked. Under the leadership of Director Michael Cianciotta and his dedicated staff of volunteers, the kitchen provided 122,079 meals in 2025 to people in need.
The Forty Fort Lions Club thanks past District Governor Eileen Yurish and past District Governor Jean Milligan for providing the information and background of the NEPALSF, as well as past District Governor Marty Zimmerman, president of the foundation, and the board members involved in reviewing and approving the request.
