Swoyersville Kiwanis Club recently honored a local resident for coming to the aid of a woman on a street in Forty Fort.
Johnna Harrison came across a woman on a street corner who was having a medical emergency and stepped in to assist. Her training as an occupational therapist allowed her to render service needed until family and EMT personnel arrived.
Her quick work helped keep this from turning into a tragic episode. Harrison was honored at a recent dinner meeting and presented with the Swoyersville Kiwanis Good Samaritan Award Certificate and a monetary gift from the club.
