WILKES-BARRE — Irish singer Daniel O’Donnell is embarking on an extensive United States tour next year that includes a stop at F.M. Kirby Center.

This year, O’Donnell became the first recording artist to have one new album appear on the UK Artist Album Chart every year since 1988. He has had 30 Top 30 albums over the course of his career. His latest release, “I Have a Dream,” features covers of songs released in the 1970s.

The singer, who made his United States debut on the 2002 PBS special “The Daniel O’Donnell Show,” will perform in Wilkes-Barre 8 p.m. May 20.

Tickets go on sale 10 a.m. Dec. 19, with a special F.M. Kirby Center pre-sale for members going on now. Tickets can be purchased at the venue’s on-site box office at 71 Public Square, Wilkes-Barre, by calling 570-826-1100 or by visiting Kirby Center.org.
