St. Jude Parish Picnic runs Aug. 10-12 in Mountain

Picnic planners from St. Jude Parish recently took a break from making pierogies to invite all to join them in the Grove for the 65th Annual St. Jude Parish Picnic from 4 to 11 p.m. Aug. 10 and 11 and from noon to 9 p.m. Aug. 12 on the parish grounds at 420 South Mountain Boulevard, in Mountain Top. The picnic features local, ethnic and International foods – new this year husk steamed corn, desserts galore in the Sweet House and an open pit Chicken BBQ starting at noon Sunday. Entertainment on Friday will be Peaceful Chaos from Above with Karaoke from 7 to 10 p.m. and on Saturday, Sister Esther from 7 to 11 p.m. The picnic grand prize raffle is $10,000. There is plenty of on-site parking, including handicapped parking and shuttle service parking to and from Crestwood High School.
