Lackawanna and Luzerne County Medical Societies will host their 4th annual fundraising golf tournament on Monday, Sept. 24 at Glenmaura National Golf Club, Moosic, to raise money for the Medical Heritage Foundation (MHF).

The event will include lunch and a captain and crew tournament, followed by a clambake dinner with raffles and silent auction. This year’s prizes include a chance to win a 2-year lease on a new BMW. Registration and lunch begin at 11 a.m., with a shotgun start at noon.

New this year is long drive entertainer Scott Kalamar. You will find him on a Par 5 hole. Kalamar will drive the ball 400+ yards. Can you finish it? Hole out from his drive — make a Double Eagle, Albatross or HI2 and win a $5,000 trip for two.

Organized by the medical societies, the golf tournament is part of the annual campaign to raise funds for MHF to promote and support all educational programs and supply scholarship funds to medical students from Lackawanna and Luzerne County. Since its founding in 2007, the foundation has provided more than $15,000 in financial support.
