Wyoming Valley Women’s Club meets to discuss upcoming events

The Wyoming Valley Woman’s Club executive board met recently at Agolino’s Restaurant in West Pittston to discuss plans for the upcoming year’s events and meetings.

Among the events planned are an All-Season Extravaganza Tea and Fashion Show, a bus trip to Hunterdon Hill Playhouse, naming and honoring the Woman of the Year and awarding an educational scholarship to a graduating senior from the Wilkes-Barre Area School District.

The All-Season Extravaganza Tea and Fashion Show will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 14 at the Irem Clubhouse, 64 Ridgeway Dr., Dallas. There will be a fashion show featuring seasonal clothing and accessories, seasonal themed tables, as well as basket raffles. Admission is $25 per person which includes an afternoon tea luncheon and an entry in the grand raffle drawing. The bus trip to Hunterdon Hills Playhouse is scheduled for April 10, 2019.

Membership in the Wyoming Valley Woman’s Club is open to all women residing in the Wyoming Valley. Meetings are held at noon the second Tuesday of each month from September through May, excluding January.
