Robin Tuohy, senior director of support groups at the International Myeloma Foundation, will provide an update on IMF research and resources at the next meeting of the Northeastern Pennsylvania Multiple Myeloma Support Group at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11 at the Center for Cancer Wellness/Candy’s Place, 190 Welles St., Forty Fort.

The International Myeloma Foundation is the largest organization focused on multiple myeloma, the second most-common blood cancer, dedicated to improving the quality of life of myeloma patients and working toward prevention and cure. It provides a wide variety of printed and online materials, audio and video webinars and news about emerging treatment options. Tuohy will review IMF resources and demonstrate how to access them.

Patients and caregivers are welcome, light food will be provided. There is no charge and reservations are not necessary.
