Luzerne County Community College will host the Luzerne County Regional College Fair from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8 at the college’s Campus Center.
Representatives from close to 75 colleges, universities, and the armed forces will be at the program to speak with prospective college students and parents about educational opportunities and admission requirements. Representatives from the LCCC Financial Aid Office will be available to discuss federal and state financial aid programs. A financial aid presentation will be held at 7 p.m. at the Campus Center Rotunda.
The annual fair is free and open to the public and is sponsored by LCCC and the Luzerne County Counselors Association.
Some of the participants in the program, including LCCC, are Arcadia University, Alvernia University, Bloomsburg University, Cedar Crest College, DeSales University, Dickinson College, Edinboro University, Full Sail University, Harrisburg University of Science and Technology, Immaculata University, Indiana University, Johnson College, Juniata College, Keystone College, King’s College, Kutztown University, Lock Haven University, Mansfield University, Marywood University, and Mercyhurst University.
Also, Messiah College, Millersville University, Misericordia University, Monmouth University, Moravian College, Mount Saint Mary College, New Haven University, PA National Guard, Pennsylvania College of Technology, Penn State University, Robert Morris University, Rosemont College, Saint Francis University, Seton Hill University, Susquehanna University, Thaddeus Stevens College, United States Navy, Unity College, University at Albany, University of Alabama, University of Pittsburgh, University of the Sciences, University of Scranton, University of Vermont, West Chester University, Wilson College, West Virginia University, and Wilkes University.
LCCC also will hold its annual Transfer Fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8 at the college’s Campus Center.
Representatives from colleges and universities will provide information to students interested in learning more about transferring to another institution after completing their studies at LCCC.
