James J. Mahon III, associated with Today’s Treasures, East Main Street in Plymouth, was recently inducted as the newest member of the Plymouth Kiwanis Club. Mahon, a former member of the local community service organization, returned following an absence of several years. During his previous tenure, he served as the club president for seven terms and served as a member of the Plymouth Borough Council.

Tiffany Callaio, lieutenant governor of Pennsylvania District Kiwanis Division 15, attended the meeting and served as the installing official for Mahon. In her visit, Callaio, a member of the Wyoming Area Kiwanis Club, discussed membership issues with the Plymouth club and offered guidance on membership recruitment.

The Plymouth Kiwanis Club meets the first and third Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at Happy Pizza, 40 W. Main St. in Plymouth. The club is actively seeking new members. Information on the Plymouth club or Kiwanis in general may be obtained by calling President David Bonawits at 570-430-6262.
