Cupid’s Chase, a certified 5K walk run will be held at Kirby Park, 160 Market St. Wilkes Barre, Saturday, Feb. 9.

Registration is at 8 a.m. and the race will begin at 10 a.m. This event is held each year by Community Options Inc to raise awareness and funding for the individuals they care for. Community Options Inc., is a nationally based nonprofit 501(c)(3) certified) organization incorporated in 1989 with local operations based in Drums.

Community Options provides housing and employment opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities and developmental disabilities. All money received from Cupid’s Chase goes directly to the individuals to use as they wish, for items that they want in their homes, or for places and events they hope to attend such as for admissions to aquariums, amusement parks, zoos, Broadway shows and for YMCA memberships.

The George M. Dallas Lodge No. 531 has contributed $200 to support the people living in your community. Each month, Lodge 531 features presentations to educate and entertain regarding Freemasonry, with some open to the public.
