The 2019 Fine Arts Fiesta Poster Contest was recently held, garnering 134 entries from area schools including Meyers High School, Coughlin High School, Crestwood High School, Hanover Area High School, Greater Nanticoke Area High School, Wilkes.Barre Area-CAPAA-(Creative and Performing Arts Academy), GAR Memorial High School, West Side CTC, and Wyoming Valley West High School.

Coughlin High School Senior Alex Boris submitted the poster drawing that was selected by the Fiesta Board of Directors to represent Fiesta 2019.

First, second and third-place awards are sponsored by Marquis Art and Frame, which generously furnished prizes.

First place — Alex Boris, Senior, Coughlin High School. $200 gift certificate from Marquis Art and Frame

Second place — Julia Poncavage, ninth grade, Wilkes-Barre Area-CAPAA ( Creative and Performing Arts Academy), $100 gift certificate from Marquis Art and Frame

Third place — Paige Collins, ninth grade, Wilkes Barre Area-CAPAA (Creative and Performing Arts Academy) $50 gift certificate from Marquis Art and Frame

Honorable Mentions — Nina Limongelli, Crestwood High; Priscilla Machicote, Greater Nanticoke Area; Yadhira Cotto, E.L. Meyers High School; Genesis Santana, E.L. Meyers High School; Julia Popple, , Coughlin High School
