The congregation of the Second Presbyterian Church, Parsonage Street, will officially welcome Rev. Roger Griffith as its new part-time Temporary Supply Pastor on Sunday, Oct. 6.

The Sacrament of Holy Communion for World Wide Communion Sunday will be observed at the 11 a.m. service. Following the worship service in the Fellowship Hall, a reception will be held to welcome Rev. Griffith and his wife, Linda.

Rev. Griffith, who is honorably retired, resides in the Back Mountain area. He is a graduate of Davis College and the Moravian Theological Seminary. He has served several churches in the Presbytery, including Dallas Trinity, Clark Summit 1st Presbyterian and, most recently, the Moosic Presbyterian Church. He has been and continues to be involved in and serve within the Presbytery, Synod and various community organizations.
