PA Inclusive received a $7,000 Community Needs Grant from the Scranton Area Community Foundation to support its Transitional Academy Social Club (TASC). This grant will enhance job training opportunities for people with disabilities in Lackawanna County, helping to promote inclusion and employment equity across the region.
The Scranton Area Community Foundation’s Community Needs Grants program funds nonprofit initiatives that address critical needs and enhance the quality of life for Lackawanna County residents. Foundation leadership and the Grants Distribution Committee review grant applications, emphasizing community impact, organizational capability and project sustainability.
“We are honored to receive this grant, which will directly support our mission of building inclusive workplaces and empowering individuals with diverse abilities,” said Anthony Melf of PA Inclusive. “This funding allows us to continue creating pathways to employment for those who need it most.”
PA Inclusive’s programs serve young adults with disabilities, equipping them with real-world work experience, job coaching and opportunities for growth in supportive environments. The Community Needs Grant will help further these efforts through expanded services and resources.
