The second annual Shred-Fest was held Saturday, April 26 at the Clarks Summit Elementary School. The event was conducted by Clarks Summit Borough as an Earth Day community project. More than 90 residents came out to ‘shred with us’ and the truck hauled away 8,700 pounds of paper, approximately 60 percent more than last year’s total. Sponsors, from left, Councilman Bob Bennett, chair, borough recycling; Mayor Patty Lawler and Sue Van Horn, local manager, Frontier Communications.
