Cranberry Creek, a free, guided, challenging hike of about 3 miles including stream crossings to explore the Nothstein Preserve in Paradise Township. Tubs Natural Area, moderate 5 + 3 mile hike. Meet at the Sears Auto Center, Wyoming Valley Mall at 11:45 a.m. Dec. 3 and leave at noon. Bring snack and water. We will all hike the first 5 miles. Hide-n’-Seekers Program for Preschoolers, ages 3 to 5 can get out and learn about the natural world through stories, activities and crafts. Birds like this Cardinal will be the subject of a workshop at the Piedmont Physic Garden from 10 a.m.-noon on Saturday, April 15. The workshop will be conducted by Rusty Wilson, a graduate of Clemson University with a major in Zoology. Wilson’s presentation will include photos he has taken of birds in his backyard and nearby parks as well as a brief history on each bird.
