Dreams, an exhibit of abstracts and semi-realistic landscapes by Vyacheslav Shevchenko, is open now at Mainstreet Galleries, 370 Pierce St., Kingston.
Sue Hand’s Imagery Annual Theme Show, will take place through 28 at Sue Hand’s Imagery, 35 Main St., Dallas, and will feature the work of 23 area artists. The public is invited to attend from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 25, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 26, 1 to 4 p.m. May 27 and 1 to 4 p.m. May 28.
2018 LCCC Student Art Exhibit, will be on display through June 14 at Luzerne County Community College’s Schulman Gallery. The LCCC campus is located at 1333 S. Prospect St., Nanticoke, and the Schulman Gallery is located on the second floor of the Campus Center. Exhibit highlights students in the communication arts department, showing a variety of accomplished work in multiple mediums. Hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and evenings and weekends by appointment only.
Mass Communications Student Exhibit, will be on display through May 25 in the Widmann Gallery on the King’s College Campus in downtown Wilkes-Barre. King’s mass communications students will exhibit a variety of mediums including print advertisements, logos, posters, magazine spreads, photography and web and CD cover designs. Pyrrhic Defeat: A Visual Study of Mass Incarceration, features 250 sketches of inmates at SCI Dallas by incarcerated artist Mark Loughney and is on display through May 28 at Artworks Gallery, 503 Lackawanna Ave., Scranton.
Street Moments, an exhibit of photographs by Bruce Byers, is on display through May 25 at Camerawork Gallery, lower level of Marquis Art & Frame, 515 Center St., Scranton. Byers photographs reflect spontaneous moments of introspection, isolation, joy, serenity, playfulness and love. Gallery is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.. Monday through Saturday.
A Brief Moment of Passion: Recent Paintings and Clay Sculptures, showcasing works by Robert R. Husty, John Pacovsky and Frank Mariano, will be on display through June 2 at Marquis Art & Frame’s second floor gallery in downtown Wilkes-Barre. Gallery hours are Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Wyoming Valley Art League Member’s Spring Juried Exhibit, features two-dimensional and three-dimensional works in a variety of mediums and styles and is on display through June 7 at the Circle Centre for the Arts, rear 130 S. Franklin St., Wilkes-Barre. Free and open to the public. Donations are accepted. Gallery hours: Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from noon to 4 p.m.
Harmony, an art exhibit of acrylic poured artwork by Diane Lillington will be held at The Wonderstone Gallery in Dunmore through May 30.
