Main St., Wilkes-Barre with champagne and light refreshments, followed by dinner at the Mary Stegmaier Mansion, 156 S. Franklin St. Entree is Stegmaier surf and turf (or vegetarian option) Tickets must be purchased in advance. $40 for historical society members; $50 for non-members. Main St., Wilkes-Barre, with entrance to parish social hall at 522 Madison St., games of chance, ethnic foods, cash raffle, silent auction and giant indoor flea market. The Sperazza Band plays 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Iron Cowboy 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday and Group Therapy 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday.

Hobbie Volunteer Fire Company Carnival – A Real Country “AfFAIR,” Aug. 3, 4 and 5 at the carnival grounds, 613 W. County Road, Wapwallopen. The Garden Tractor Pull begins at 3 p.m. Saturday. The Backyard Horseshoe Pitch, comprised of 64 two-partner teams, begins at noon Sunday, and cash prizes will be awarded. To register a team, call Shane at 570-956-3989 by 11 p.m. Aug 4. A special auction begins at 1 p.m. Sunday with a wide variety of prizes.
