WILKES-BARRE — Mayor George Brown announced Pennsylvania American Water and UGI will pave a total of 22 streets within the city where they upgraded utilities.

In the spring PAWC will pave:

• Spruce Street from McLean to Blackman streets.

• McLean Street from Hazle to Spruce streets.

• Brown Street from Blackman to Stanton streets.

• High Street from Blackman to Dana streets.

• Holland Street from Bruce Lane to High Street.

• Bruce Lane from Parrish to Holland streets.

• Westminster Street from Hanover to Thomas streets.

• Collins Street from Holland to Parrish streets.

• Dana Street from High to Hazle streets.

• Mayock Street from East Main Street to the Plains Township line.

• Cleveland Street from East Main to East Thomas streets.

• Finn Street from East Main to Brazil streets.

PAWC will pave Stanton Street from Arch to High streets in the summer.

Later this year UGI will pave:

• North Main Street from Hollenback and Elm streets.

• Barney Street from Brook to Division streets.

In addition, PAWC scheduled utility upgrades and paving later this year for:

• Kidder Street from Conyngham Avenue to Bowman streets.

• North Meade Street from Coal to Hillside streets.

• Dock Lane from North Empire to Custer streets.

• Hickory Street from Dana to Hill streets.

• South Fulton Street from Rose to Puritan lanes.

• Columbus Avenue from Hickory Street to South Wilkes-Barre Boulevard.

• Hanover Street from Carey Avenue to Old River Road.
