WILKES-BARRE TWP. — Township police say they shut down a modern day brothel that was also used to package and peddle illicit narcotics.

Police said they executed a search warrant at 664 Pine St. discovering on a wall a menu listing prices for services and house rules for prostitution.

Crack cocaine, fentanyl, heroin, Krokodil, multiple unidentified pills, packaging materials, scales and condoms were inside the residence, which was condemned by the township code enforcement office.

Police allege occupants of the residence were selling controlled substances and offering sexual services from the house.

The search warrant was executed by the police department’s Special Investigations Unit based on reports of activity involving drug trafficking and prostitution.

Several of the occupants fled the house when authorities arrived at the property to executed the search warrant. They were apprehended outside the residence, police said.

Two people who fled had active arrest warrants and were jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility. Five others were processed and will be charged at a later date, police said.
