WILKES-BARRE — City police say they arrested Dorel Chesson, 50, on charges he choked a neighbor over a parking dispute on Wells Street on Saturday.

Police said Chesson and another man were arguing over a parking space at about 8:40 a.m.

During the argument, police allege Chesson assaulted the man, knocked him to the ground and strangled him causing the neighbor to black out.

Chesson was arraigned by District Judge Rick Cronauer in Wilkes-Barre on charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, strangulation and harassment. He was released on $10,000 unsecured bail.
