WILKES-BARRE — The Wilkes University English Department’s Allan Hamilton Dickson Spring Writers series first event with Richard Boada has been rescheduled from Feb. 8 (Tuesday) to Feb. 15.

Boada authored three poetry collections, “We Find Each Other in the Darkness, ” “The Error of Nostalgia” and “Archipelago Sinking.” He will visit the campus to read from his works and discuss the creative process at 7 p.m. in the Kirby Hall Salon.

Other scheduled appearances are Jason Schneiderman and Margaret Atwood.

Schneiderman will be on campus March 30 at 7 p.m., also at the Kirby Hall Salon. He has written four books of poems,including “Hold Me Tight,” and edited the anthology “Queer: A Reader for Writers.”

The series culminates with “A Conversation with Margaret Atwood,” 7 p.m., April 26 at the F.M. Kirby Center for the Performing Arts. Atwood won the Booker Prize and has written more than 50 works. Her first novel, “The Edible Woman,” was published in 1969. Arguably her most famous work currently is The Handmaid’s Tale, made into a television series that has won 54 Emmy nominations and 15 awards.

All events are free and open to the pubic, but the Atwood event is expected to fill quickly so registration is required. Visit wilkes.edu/dickson for more information.
