The application period for the 2022 Troop P Camp Cadet program is now open through March 31.
Anyone interested in attending the camp can obtain an application at the Troop P, Wilkes-Barre Barracks in Hanover Township, or online at www.campcadetonline.com.
Camp Cadet is open to boys and girls between the ages of 12 to 15 and reside in the Troop P area of Luzerne, Bradford, Sullivan and Wyoming counties. The camp is held at Camp Kresge, Mountain Top.
This year’s Camp Cadet will run from July 31 through Aug. 5 and is designed to give young people a better understanding of law enforcement activities in an atmosphere of an actual State Police training school.
Once accepted, the cadets will reside at the camp for six days under the direct supervision of state and local police officers.
Capacity restrictions may apply as Camp Cadet will follow all Pennsylvania State Police and CDC recommendations at the time of camp.
